Meridian Speedway Franchise Opportunities!
All of the effort put into creating this Meridian Speedway empire has created a number of colorful and exciting operating model railroad opportunities. Just like a real railroad, this one is too large for just one person to completely run...or model!
My true motive for the creation of this network was to artificially create the stage and write the script for my play in North Louisiana and Vicksburg, MS. Vicksburg has been a place that has fascinated me since youth and it will be the focal point of the portion of this railroad that I model.
As I put this railroad concept in writing and developed the network, many very fascinating operating concepts were created that would make incredible operating layouts. The specific portion that will be incorporated in my model railroad is the Natchez Trace and Orient Railway mainline from Gibsland, LA to Edwards, MS. This is close to home for me and is very rich in short line and Class I connections.
Other opportunities for stunning model railroads within the Meridian Speedway network could be:
1 - Irving Terminal - Crossroads of the T&GN and NT&O with a hump yard and TRE and Amtrak passenger trains.
2 - Dublin District - Top end of the South Orient, now Fort Worth Western, rich with unit rock trains and Mexico traffic.
3 - Fort Stockton to Presidio - Hump Yard, SP trackage rights through Paisano Pass, Mexico Border.
4 - Tulsa Terminal - Interchange Traffic, Industry, and Flat Switching Yard.
5 - Silsbee to Beaumont - Lots of geeps and forest products!
6 - Shreveport Terminal
7 - Jackson Terminal
8 - Corinth, MS to Nashville, TN - Very Scenic
9 - Former Meridian & Bigbee
10 - Yazoo & Mississippi Valley Natchez MS to Hattiesburg - ICRR interchange at Brookhaven and Paper Mill at Ferguson.
11 - Mississippi Central - Alcos and GEs!
The above list is neither all inclusive nor mutually exclusive. Find your fit and we will create the appropriate position for you.
If you are looking to enter the world of proto-freelanced model railroading but do not wish to create the entire concept from the ground up, consider modeling a piece of the Meridian Speedway. While certain things such as locomotive roster, paint schemes, route, train symbols, etc. should be part of the greater script, there are many parts of the operation that you could own.
If you want to take a piece of this railroad and run with it, please contact me:
